Pilates instructor - Dancer - Dance teacher
Corescap Pilates was established by Bernadene Jonathan, a dancer, dance teacher and Pilates instructor who has experienced the benefits of Pilates first hand and is devoted to making more people aware of how Pilates can enhance one’s quality of life. Bernadene discovered Pilates as a teenager when her ballet teacher invited her to a class. She started doing Pilates as a regular part of her exercise routine and started noticing a difference in her physique, dance technique and agility and control on stage. She went on to complete her Btech degree in Dance (Cum Laude) majoring in Performance in 2005 at the Tshwane University of Technology. While studying she also completed her Pilates Instructors certificate with Tshwane University of Technology. Bernadene then went on to dance with the Tshwane Dance Theatre. In 2006 she decided to take up Pilates as a full time career. Since then she has grown to understand what an important element Pilates is in the overall fitness puzzle. Bernadene also completed her Body, Arts and Science International™ Comprehensive Pilates certificate (BASI) and is currently working towards obtaining a BCom in Accounting.
